Got some cartons at home? Lets clean and dry them and prepare to make these adorable bunny planters!
Easy supplies to prepare:
- Milk Cartons
- Scissors
- Acrylic paints
- Paint brushes
- Markers
- Any decor your tykes want on the planters
#1 Freehand draw lines and long bunny ears where you want to make cuts, and or make the ears extend past the corner of the cartons, giving them some dimension.
Want exaggerated bunny ears for the planters ? Cut the ears out from an old shopping bag like @chubbhubs.bubs.me did! Layer & glue on top of the cut out ears with any coloured paper or draw directly on the paper bag if the base is light coloured.
#2 Time to paint! Once the final coats were applied and set them aside to dry.
Meanwhile, head to your plant shops or nurseries and pick out your favourite plants for the bunny planters.
#3 Add some fine details to give these bunnies some character. A fine-tipped brush made for easy inner ears and noses, and a few swipes with the permanent marker really brought them alive.
#4 Nestle the plants inside each planter and give them a good watering.
#5 Add little bunny tails to the backs of the planters and the tails would be great places for your tykes do them with their fingerprints!
These little milk carton planters are very versatile — you could make all sorts of animals, faces or patterns using different milk and juice containers.
