Top 10 Picks For a Family-Friendly Sustainable Lifestyle
This week we have a guest blog written by SustainablyFamily.
We, the SustainablyFamily (IG: sustainablyfamily) are a family of five that loves the planet and strives to live as sustainably as possible. We love the creator of this earth and we want to partner with Him to be the caretakers of His creations. We use our platform to review eco-friendly products and practices for the whole family and want to help educate and encourage living sustainably with our children and community. We cover household, food, energy, cosmetics, clothing waste and travel and in all these areas, SustainablyFamily explores how to make it greener and safer for our environment. We love featuring families around the globe on their small sustainability efforts that collectively make a great impact. Together with these families, we want to show living sustainably as a family is possible.
Here are our top 10 green products or services (some of these are our swaps) that are available in Singapore.
1. MUNDO (Eco Laundry Detergent Sheets) IG: mundosg.official
We love it is BPA, Paraben, phosphate and 1,4-dioxane free. It is vegan, HypoAllergenic and biodegradable laundry sheets! It only takes 1/8 of our storage space and it is in plastic free packaging. It has excellent cleaning power and is gentle to our skin.
2. BESPOKEBREADSG (Baking Classes), IG: bespokebreadsg

We love following @bespokebreadsg for tips and ideas on home baking and has saved us from buying four loaves of bread in plastic every month. Not sure where to start? You can sign up for beginner classes with them!
3. LAO HUO TANG Restaurant (Plant-based Menu)
It is common for families in Singapore to eat out regularly. Recently we have been looking for restaurants that provide plant-based menus. Lao Huo Yang Group has collaborated with Omnifoods, Unlimeat and Heura Foods on their plant based menu. We love their plant-based dishes! It is a must try!
4. TALULA HILL FARM (Farm sharing), IG: talulahillfarm
A Singaporean family-run farm in Kluang growing clean and nutritious produce. We love the “Omakase” styled farmer box. They come with all types of vegetables, peas, mushrooms and fruits in a box, based on their seasonal harvest and deliver weekly
5. KILOGRAMME (Bulk whole food, Eco Grocer), IG: kilogramme.sg
A grocer that places the same value on sustainable food and packaging as SustainablyFamily! We always bring our own containers and groceries bags to refill our herbs, grains, granolas as well as chocolates. We love their quick baking in a jar where they have pre-weighed all the ingredients and put them in a jar to take home for easy cooking or baking.

10. RETYKLE (Circular Kids fashion), IG: retykle
Being a mum of three growing girls, I constantly need to get new sets of clothes and shoes; at least 2-3 times a year. This indirectly creates a negative impact on our environment which is made worse with fast fashion. Retykle is an eco-conscious platform where circular kids fashion is made possible - taking pressure off the planet in terms of landfilling. You could sell, earn, shop preloved and discounted kids wear! Highly recommend mummies to start connecting with them today!
